BioBased Insulation contains no harmful and irritating micro fibers or organic dust particulates from which traditional insulation is sourced. Biobased 1701 ~ closed cell insulation foam.
BioBased 1701 is the first water-blown closed cell soy-bean based polyurethane spray foam insulation to be introduced since spray polyurethane technology first emerged in the mid 70's. It features 5.5 R per inch. Before 1701, closed-cell spray foams were primarily petroleum-based and most relied on CFC (chlorofluorocarbons) or HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbons) blowing agents. These agents are known for being highly volatile and require specific guidelines that applicators must adhere to during storage and transportation. BioBased also addresses the environmental concerns associated with the previous closed cell petroleum products. Because BioBased 1701 uses water as its blowing agent the installment process and finished product is completely earth friendly.Biobased 501 ~ semi-open celled insulation foam.
